CALL FOR PAPER: The 2nd International Conference on Applied Science and Health
Following the success of the first conference, together with Indonesian Scholars’ Alliance, we cordially invite your participation to share expertise, experiences and views at the 2nd International Conference on Applied Science and Health (ICASH), on Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, 29 September 2017.
The 2nd ICASH raises the efforts to develop health and well-being for better society such as factors of illness, epidemiology, health promotion, health policy, nutrition, environmental health and safety, nursing and midwifery, and other sciences related to health development.
The 2nd ICASH, a joint conference between Semarang Health Polytechnic and Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, is organized by Yayasan Aliansi Cendekiawan Indonesia Thailand, internationally known as Indonesian Scholars’ Alliance (InSchooL). We invite experts, practitioners, professionals and students working in Asian countries to share their expertise, experiences, and views. Through this conference, the works can be reported as original research findings, best practices, review articles, and photo essays.
PROGRAMS
The ICASH will be a one-day conference program, covers plenary and panel sessions. Plenary program will present the invited keynote speech related to future strategic planning and health programs. On the panel section, participants can select the topics based on their preference on the three sub-themes. Registering as presenter, the participants can present their original research findings and best practices either in oral or poster sessions, while review article can be included only in oral session. Authors who decide to participate in Poster session are required to only send the ABSTRACT. Last, in the end of the day, a networking dinner will be arranged to facilitate the participants for network expansion and cultural exchange. Best oral and poster presenters will be given certificate at the closing ceremony.

WHAT’S NEW?
At the 2nd ICASH, we open PHOTO ESSAY to be presented only in poster session. PHOTO ESSAY mostly comprises of 10-15 high resolution photographs with 200-500 words of text on a topic that relates to health and well-being. The photographs can broadly describe the extension of political, social, and environmental determinants of health. No abstract is required for PHOTO ESSAY, thus, if abstract of all submitted papers will be published on abstract book, articles submitted as PHOTO ESSAY will be excluded from the book. As the privilege, the selected PHOTO ESSAY will be published in Global Health Management Journal. There are no article processing charges, submissions fees, or any other costs required to submit articles to this journal.

PUBLICATIONS
Adhering our aims of facilitating the papers from the International Conference on Applied Science and Health (ICASH) becomes free scholarly resources to the people, all submitted papers presented at oral session will be published online on Proceedings of the International Conference on Applied Science and Health (ISSN 2579-4434), indexed by Google Scholar and WorldCat. Conference proceeding in the forms of USB Flashdisk will be given to the participants on the day conference. Refer to the Author Guidelines before send your article to the committee.
Under Publications of the Indonesian Scholars’ Alliance, authors of the selected papers will be encouraged to submit papers that are extensions of their conference papers to GLOBAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT JOURNAL (GHMJ), an open-access, triannual, peer-reviewed, online journal with a strong emphasize on health and applied science in health. Never forget to mention, we send privilege to authors who present their PHOTO ESSAY in poster session, the essay will be published at this journal. HOW TO SUBMIT?
Authors should submit manuscripts through EasyChair System. Before the submission, information of each author should be provided and filled at the form, including First Name and Last Name, email, country, and organization. Each author marked as a corresponding author will receive email messages from the system about this submission. There must be at least one corresponding author. Author(s) should submit manuscript until July 27, 2017. All submitted papers must be in .doc format. All submitted manuscripts to the committee will undergo a single-blind peer review where both reviewer’s and author’s identity will not be disclosed. In some cases, the revised manuscripts will be re-reviewed. Final decision of paper acceptance will be made on the basis of this full paper review.
